HORRIBLE

DO NOT go here ! they are awful. My son just got back from there i have a few issues . 1. the dentist NEVER came out and introduced himself, spoke to me nothing. I have NO Idea who worked on my son . 2. My son told him 3 times he was NOT NUMB and they KEPT WORKING ON HIM !! When my son said " im still not numb just get it over with " The Dentist DID NOT stop and make sure he was not feeling any pain and CONTINUED !! I felt like this was a assembly line and the dentist was trying to get through as quickly as possible to see how many patients he would see. HORRIBLE . When i called back to complain the front desk person told me " Well im not the one who worked on him" . They also RESTRAIN young children to work on them. DONT GO HERE ! I only gave one start so i could review it ! I agree with the other review that they seem to be more about money !

Nothing was right...

The office is nice, in a good location and convenient for me. My old dentist moved so I thought I would give Aloha Dental in San Marcos, Texas a try. The office is new as of around November. It took two attempts to get an appointment with this Aloha Dental in San Marcos (they forgot to input my first appointment into their computer) and I received at least 6 phone calls from Aloha prior to the second scheduled appointment requesting the same information regarding my insurance information over and over again. My "reminder" call came from their office came just hours before the appointment versus the day before. When I made the appointment I requested a cleaning (which is all I usually do at the dentist). They said x-rays and an exam were required as well, which was fine since my insurance covers it. I showed up for my appointment at 10:30, the scheduled time. I was seen at around 10:40. I received 7 x-rays from an assistant brand new on the job. She was nice, but not very skilled. My main gripe came when the dentist reappeared after the x-rays. He started in on what sounded basically like a sales pitch of all the upcoming dental services I will need. I was shocked to hear that I have around 12 cavities that may need filling in the next year or so and that I have one that needs to be filled right away! I have not had a cavity in 24 years and have received regular dental examinations always with good marks and no signs of decay, most recently around 6 months ago. I suspect this is just a ploy to make money and will seek a second opinion on the cavity claim. Finally, it came time for the "cleaning." The dentist performed the cleaning, not a dental technician as I have seen at every other dental office I have ever visited. He spent about a minute picking at my teeth with the pick, then used the dental tool to polish my teeth. He did not attempt to clean the back teeth or remove coffee stains. It usually takes around 45 minutes for a dental technician to perform an adequate cleaning at other dentists' offices. The whole cleaning process at Aloha took around 5 minutes or so. It took longer for the assistant to floss my teeth after the cleaning than for the dentist to clean them! I was back on the road at 11:18, just 38 minutes later. I would not recommend this dental office if you are looking for quality care for your teeth.
